The Travels of Tug 44

Our First Look

This was Tug 44's first trip outside the factory building, shown with the crew who built her. The boat has been made ready for transport, with the engine room vents covered with tape to keep out dirt, and the rail from the rear cabin roof removed and taped to the front rail for reduced height.

Now there's a boat trailer! The bottom of her keel tapers down toward the rear in a straight line, making it simple to block her up in a nose-down position. This flat-bed truck trailer is built extra low especially for transporting tall boats under low bridges. See the full-sized photo
