Erie Canal Flood of 2006 - Little Falls |

Tug Shenandoah and several other boats were marooned at Little Falls Canal Harbor during the Flood of 2006. As the waters rose above the concrete pier, these wooden frames were inserted between the boats and the pier to keep the boats in the river and out of the parking lot! Suggested by a man named Sherman, they were named The Sherman Sliders.
