Gorham Covered Bridge
Pittsford, VT

The Gorham Covered Bridge in Pittsford VT is a 114 foot span over Otter Creek. It was built in 1842 by Nicholas Powers and Abraham Owens.

The bridge has been recently refurbished including a new roof and siding, and is now in excellent condition.

This bridge has the roof overhang to keep rain and snow out, thereby extending its life.

Some of the heavy spruce planks in the Town Lattice construction have been replaced and pinned with oak dowels, just as it was built originally. The Gorham Covered Bridge will survive many more Vermont winters.
