The Travels of Tug 44

Duck Cove - Hudson River

Duck Cove is one of our favorite anchorages on the upper Hudson River. It's on the south side of a barge loading silo on the west bank. If you see Tug Crow or Tug Cheyenne, radio them on channel 13 to see if there will be any activity that night. Do expect one or two big wakes per night from passing tugs, but if you tuck in near the causeway right behind the pier, you'll be mostly protected. See full-sized photo
