The Travels of Tug 44

Haverstraw Marina - Hudson River

The fog lifts at dawn over Haverstraw Marina, a 1,000 slip facility located in a sheltered cove at the north-west corner of Tappan Zee on the Hudson River.

At the entrance to the cove is a fuel dock offering gasoline and diesel fuels.

An earthen seawall blocking most of the entrance to the cove makes this facility a perfect place to run from a storm, as we had done the night before..

This 38-ton travel lift was the scene of Tug 44's first haulout. They have full mechanic facilities and even a canvas shop on site.
