Buffalo Main Lighthouse - Lake Erie

The Buffalo Main Lighthouse guards the entrance to Buffalo Inner Harbor where the Niagara River meets Lake Erie. This was once the entrance to the original Erie Canal. The Lighthouse was built in 1833 and is 60 feet tall. Constructed of limestone blocks, the Buffalo Main Lighthouse remained in use until 1914.
