Liberty Lighthouse - New York Harbor

The Statue of Liberty was installed in 1877 as an actual lighthouse. The torch had holes to show the light, but in spite of various upgrades, was found insufficient. It was discontinued as a lighthouse in 1902, but remains as a monument and tourist attraction in New York Harbor.
