The Staten Island Ferry fleet runs car and passenger service from Manhattan to Staten Island. This one is the Andrew J. Barberi. Or as Yuri, her russian immigrant skipper was recently heard to say while hailing a coast guard ship, "Iss bik yellow bar-berry behind you!" In 2003, this boat crashed while docking, killed 11 people, hospitalized 34 and suffered major damage.

The ferry is safely tucked away at her port of Whitehall, at the lower end of Manhattan.
