The Travels of Tug 44

New Jersey Responder

This 210 foot long ocean-going tug is equipped as an oil-spill responder, capable of towing distressed tankers, and handling oil-spill containment equipment. She even has a helicopter landing pad on the rear deck.

Seen here at her home port of Edison New Jersey, her high bow allows her to handle oil-spill accidents in the Atlantic Ocean. She is owned and operated by Marine Spill Response Corp.
