Tug Escort takes a day off, resting at the Hudson Power Plant on the Hackensack River, this cold gray Christmas Day 2006. Express Marine (owner and operator of this tugboat) barges coal to this plant every day, using Tugs Escort, Consort and Guardian. Tug Escort is a full-time coal barge pusher, she was built to fit into the 360 foot long coal barge's rear notch. She is 97 feet long, 32 feet wide and 16 foot draft, with 2,430 horspower.
