The male Hooded Merganser Duck is a sight to behold! That huge head with the white sides is sure to impress the girl ducks. It's actually not a huge head, it's just a hood of feathers, and it can be dropped down. In this shot, the hood is fully lifted.   high-res

This is a pair of Hooded Merganser Ducks, the female is rather plain. She has a plain reddish hood.   high-res
